Currock Hill has been home to Northumbria Gliding Club since the early 1960’s and we have owned the site for the last 20 years.
It is a 63 acre site which sits some 800 feet above sea level giving commanding views to the North West into the Tyne Valley and even the Cheviot Hills in the right weather conditions.
Currock has a single grass runway measuring 600 x 50 mtrs of a roughly East – West (06/24) orientation. There is an additional area to the east of the runway which is used when winch launching.
